Ever Thought Of Being a Trustee?
Following recent changes, not least the great success we have had in attracting funding, we are currently looking for new trustees to join our team.
Why Do It?
Over a million adults of all ages, social backgrounds and walks of life become trustees, so you would be in good company. People become trustees for a variety of reasons. Some are attracted to a specific charity because it means something to them, others for the sense of being involved in something worthwhile, to develop their CV, or to widen their experience of working in a team, or running a (not for profit) business.
What Does It Involve?
The trustees of a charity are the people who, under the charity’s governing document (see below) are responsible for the strategic direction of the charity.
We offer induction and other training opportunities, so past experience as a trustee is not necessary.
Men are underrepresented on the board of trustees at Women’s Work and we would value the contribution of any individual with the relevant experience and skills.
